Bellway PLC New Worker's Cottage

Located within a rural setting surrounded by mature woodland, the client asked Pod to design a space to cater for PLC executives and clients when travelling.
The simple form is designed to invoke a sense of refuge and connects with the natural surroundings, and complements the other agricultural buildings on site. The proposed hut has fully glazed areas which open to the neighbouring woodland and providing glorious views.

The cabin is far from primitive and has been designed with everything from a free standing wood burning stove to vaulted internal spaces with specialist structural elements.
