St. Edmund’s Manor

Pod provided masterplanning and detailed design services for St Edmund’s Manor, to the south of Sedgefield town centre. The visually sensitive site included existing mature landscape features and views of St Edmunds Church. Embracing the church tower as a nodal point, the entrance and elliptical open space have been designed to frame this viewpoint creating a real sense of place. The 350 dwelling development adopts a traditional aesthetic with stone facing units employed to emphasise key view stops or to accentuate dual aspect dwellings.
