Proposed footbridge over the River Tees at Yarm School. The footbridge is designed to improve public access from Yarm town centre to the Teesdale Way and also increase connectivity to Yarm School. Set within a conservation area the design incorporates a low profile timber truss girder spanning 36m with a clearance of 8.7m to allow boats to pass under. Ramps have been carefully designed to avoid existing tree positions and associated root protection areas and tie in with existing public rights of way.
