A residential enabling development working in conjunction with Northumberland County Council and English Heritage to allow the realisation and revitalisation of Damdykes Farm a Grade II listed farm complex, in an advanced state of dilapidation.

Enabling proposals allowed 19 new build dwellings arranged in a courtyard form on previously green belt land allowing a capital receipt to bring a heritage asset back to life. Originally conceived as one large detached residence, subsequent proposals divided the complex into 4 linked dwellings.

New build dwellings were designed in a contemporary manner, using traditional materials in a more modern way. The use of large areas of glazing, in addition to small private balcony areas, allow the central courtyard to possess an active frontage and promote interaction between residents.
